King of Glory

By Amanda Johnson

Are you looking for a home? Someone to love you, hold you close, and call you his own? We don’t have to look far. Psalm 24:1 tells us “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” The world and all who live in it belong to the Lord. He is our Father, our God, and our King of Glory. He is our creator and He gave His Son so that we might have life (John 3:16). There is no way we, in our sin stained lives, could ever repay Him. What we can do is spread His message of love to those around us and give all praise and glory to the King of Glory.

Not sure how? Turn on the praise music, read through the pages of the Psalms, and lift your voice in praise and song to the King of Glory. Jesus Culture, a Christian music group, has a song out called “King of Glory.” The chorus of the song is “King of glory, have your glory. King of glory, have your glory. King of glory, have your glory.” What a joyful chorus. Let the King of Glory have His glory! No one should deny Christ the praise and Glory due His name! “Lift up your heads, you gates be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle…The LORD almighty-he is the King of glory” (Psalm 24:7-8, 10).

Wake up to each morning knowing that the Lord God has claimed us as His own. “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14). Give the King of Glory His glory!
